We run 2 mens Saturday teams, catering for all levels of cricket. We also have a women's cricket section and a thriving youth section with teams from U11 to U17.
The FIRST TEAM play 50 over cricket in the Shropshire League 2, providing an excellent standard of club cricket. The SECOND ELEVEN play in Shropshire League 7.
Men's outside nets TUESDAY EVENINGS at the club.
LADIES NETS HAVE NOW BEEN MOVED TO THURSDAYS 7pm at the club.
THE LADIES TEAM compete in the Midlands League division 2 South and West in 2006, our second season (2007) playing in div 2 North Oak Sports Womens Midland League and have completed our third season in the OSWML West division in 2008. The fixtures for 2009 are now ready to view. All members can apply to view tables and fixtures on the league web page at http://wml.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp.
We are a friendly bunch of mixed age and abilities and have been in training since 2004. We are open to all ladies and girls from age 12(school year 7) with no upper age limit, who are either experienced cricketers or complete novices. COMMUNITY WEB SHOP COMMISSION COMMISSION - OVER £150 and rising fantastic effort - the club would like to thank everyone who has supported the club by using the shop. CLUB DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2007 - 2012 sets out the clubs plans for the next five years. This can be found on the information Board.
The ground is situated near Forton only a 2 minute drive from Newport, Shropshire. It has a picturesque rural setting, two outdoor nets and a large pavilion.
LETTINGS....
Finally the club house is available for lettings i.e a birthday, an anniversary, annual dinner, simple meeting place etc. Rates are reasonable!!! If anybody wishes to use the club for a social or sporting event then please contact Clive Jones on 01952 825447 for further details.
